Got the Gas Blues?
June 13, 2008

We are in this kettle of fish together and there is no relief in sight so we all have two options: 1. We can wring our hands and do nothing. 2. We can take charge of our own destiny. At Bobswatercooler.com we want everyone in our kettle to do the latter!

A. So far in 2008 we have conducted five workshops about going GREEN

B. We have participated in two major traveling shows.

C. The regional NWPMA show with 4 booths and 6 people

D. Two distributor shows

E. Umpteen personal calls and more to come!

F. Conducted two contests that generated an avalanche of hits on Bobswatercooler.com.

G. As a result; our major lines are enjoying extraordinary increases.

Our website will soon come with an interactive blog. We are also recording our presentations and you will be able to see specific products up close and personal rather than a catalog picture and text.

You may schedule a personal presentation for your office by contacting Rachel or Bob. The pictures show Gregg Bullard, the owner of Baskets by Design talking about how you can automatically make $$$ all year long with a corporate Birthday Program. The other picture is of Rachel and Elsa extolling the virtues of the Outdoor Cap. Our Eco hats, Flag caps, and Camo caps that feature Realtree, Mossy Oak, and Advantage Timber just for starters!

So what about the gas? Payne Publishers, Baskets by Design, and Pioneer Balloons are members of Distributor Central. You can order right from Bobswatercooler.com at NO CHARGE to you. You can also save money by clicking on the Specials Pages of all of our lines and that will help put gas in your tank!

Getting Jiggy with Quality Customer Service 3 Helpful Tips to keep your clients happy.
Mar 1, 2008

Customer service can make or break your company. Choosing a quality supplier with outstanding customer service is your most important decision in any sale. The companies we represent will make YOU a pro!

Pioneer Balloon has won the PPAI Distributors Choice Award in customer service 7 consecutive years. In 6 years we have had one complaint; one of our customers received a 10% overrun AT NO CHARGE! The customer finally agreed with us that FREE is a very good price.”

Baskets by Design also has a fabulous case study . . .” I just wanted to let you know what great customer service I received from Carmen on a sample order. I received a phone call from her immediately after I faxed over the sample order. She confirmed everything would be shipping out as requested. Within minutes I received an order confirmation and shortly after that the tracking #'s. There are very few vendors that take these steps just for sample orders. It really makes my job so much easier when working with a company like this. Thank you again!

3 HELPFUL TIPS TO KEEP YOUR CLIENTS HAPPY

Tip #1 DON’T MAKE A PROMISE YOU CANT KEEP
If you say you are going to give a customer a call the next day make sure you get a hold of them so they know you are reliable.

Tip # 2 DEAL WITH COMPLAINTS IN A POSITIVE MANNER

Send an Atonement basket from Baskets by Design. Call in person about the email blast gone wrong. Samples anyone??

Tip #3 GO ABOVE AND BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY. YOUR CLIENT WILL REMEMBER YOUR KINDNESS.

Here’s what people are saying about our last contest at Bob’s Watercooler.

Bold ideas and shall we say the "Bare Facts"

Feb 20, 2008

We asked you to give us your thoughts and you gave us humor, proven advice, and the, well shall we say the Bare Facts.¯

Don Shepherdson, From Geiger/Elliott has a win, win idea. He wants to "Put our video on his Web Site."¯ Let's do it Don! Anybody else?

Jan Wilson, of Oregon Headwear likes products that "last Forever" - Referring to the stainless steel Thermos Hydration Bottle she said "This is the only add specialty item you can actually take with you by putting your ashes in it!"¯

Ellen Klingner, at Buttons-Now has some sage words, "Advertising doesn't cost, it pays."

Eric Bey, CEO of Bey Promotional Products reminds us that "Customer service is our most important product.¯" And everybody gets it at EQP!

Daniel Singley, at Dansing Marketing Group has a real "Green"¯ program, "If an employee uses a plastic bag or bottle that is not reusable they have to put a dime in the office Green jar."¯ I recommend a Water Cooler Daniel!

Stephanie Hooper, from Bayside Specialties gave us one of her favorite quotes from Thomas Edison, "If you did all the things in life you are capable of, you would astound yourself."¯ Thanks for reminding us Stephanie.

Frank Elliott, the patriarch, guru, and head janitor at Geiger/Elliott Sales shared one of his most important secrets of success, "Always go with your hunches."¯

Robert Deacon, from Accurate Imprints tells us how on his website "everyday has a theme" check out todays theme at www.accurateimprints.com

Erin Jordan, from Gold Ribbon Promotions must have been a hit on her high school debate team. She says that you gain a winning edge if you "Always argue naked"¯ (I'm all over it Erin.)

These winners will receive either a Hydration bottle from Thermos LLC or a stunning gift basket from Baskets By Design.

Join the fun. Be a winner. Give us your idea, advice, quote, or anything else that tickles your fancy at the upcoming NWPMA show on March 5, 2008.

Green Haiku for You

Feb 8, 2008

Birdie, birdie in the sky,
There is whitewash in my eye,
Thank Heav'n ele'phants can't fly

A pachyderm drinks fifty gallons of water daily, eats food by the ton, has ginormously round feet, yet this four legged creature leaves a small footprint on the environment. Part of that is because an elephant never drinks water from a plastic bottle!

In America we send sixty million plastic water bottles to a land fill Every Day! One organization (an agency that keeps track of floating plastic stuff) has said there are enough plastic articles adrift on the seven seas to cover the entire state of Texas. I'll give you the point that many web authorities have been creative with the truth. But even if it is fudged somewhat, simple observation confirms it will soon come to pass.

The message inside the modern plastic bottle is not about rescuing someone from a deserted island; it is about saving an entire planet from absurdly burying itself because of uncontrolled excess.

I’ll cut to the chase. It has always been healthy to drink water. It is not healthy for the environment to do so from plastic containers that last for eons. You can keep yourself and your clients in the pink by using Thermos Hydration Bottles. These vacuum sealed, steel containers keep the water cool, spare the planet the indignity of plastification, and pay for themselves.

The noble, seven ton, Proboscides have been around for 50 million years and have left the landscape un-littered. Humanoids have trodden this orb for only seven million, but we are managing to muck it up pretty good. Water is a necessity, plastic bottles are not. Do the planet a favor; put quality Thermos products into your business plan. Your grandchildren will thank you, and for years to come they will still be using the nearly indestructible bottles!
